striking mechanism

Striking Mechanism is having an open call for a project called Everyday Underdogs. We are calling for the submission of video or audio documentaries related to the theme of the everyday underdog: contending a parking ticket, contending late fees, and any other minor or major injustice. Because we are interested in stories from the “little guy”, low tech/low fidelity is fine.

Unlike our other current projects, this call does not involve the production of any physical media. Instead, we plan to post the selected video and audio documentaries directly to our site as they are submitted. In addition we may pursue other avenues for screening opportunities, exhibitions, or radio play.
